Last day of All Comer's Track 2009

What a fun summer season of All Comer's Track for Sydney and Emily. They Ran, they walked, they jumped, they stopped, they laughed, they fell, they clapped... but most of all, they girls had FUN! And oh what fun it was to watch and run with them.

Emily's 2nd Birthday

Keiani Turned 2

So Keiani is 2 now! Her b-day was on June 24th. She is sooo big now I cant believe it. She loves to sing songs especially happy birthday, twinkle little star and the alphabet. She is doing really well with her numbers and can count to 10 most of the time. :) She is getting really excited about her baby sister coming although I still dont think she understands what that means.
We are also moving tomorrow to a bigger place and Keiani will have her new big girl bed. Shes in a toddler bed now but we are going to put in a twin bed for her when we move.
Hope every one is doing well and Happy soon to be Birthday to all the little ones!

Welcome Baby Peyton Horst

Peyton Patricia Horst was born on March 8th, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20.5 inches long. It was a quick delivery (maybe even too quick!). Peyton is already a week old. She is eating and sleeping great.

So fun to see the kids play together and catch up on what's been going on. Must do it again soon!

Snow, snow, snow!

I don't think I was expecting how cold and snowy it was going to be this winter! It sure is pretty, isn't it!

We've taken Emily outside in the snow a little bit, but with all the layers (we don't have a very warm and well fitting snowsuit), its hard for her to move and with all the snow, again it's hard for her to move.... Somedays we just sit in the highchair and play with bowls of snow and that seems to suffice her curiosity of all the white powdery stuff from outside.

Trick or Treat

Keiani had a wonderful Halloween. We all dressed up like hippies :) We headed down south to my moms house in Sedro Woolley to go trick or treating and go to the childrens parade in downtown. Keiani was so cute and so amazed by all the other kids dressed up. She made alot of new friends that day.
After a long afternoon of fighting through the crowds, and parents chasing there sugar powered kids we decided to head home but not before keeping our tradition alive with Terry and Chasity (and now baby Sophie). We headed out to dinner dressed up and silly. At least this year we werent the only ones looking rediculous. We had a great dinner and all passed out once we got home.
Next stop Thanksgiving!
Watch out Turkey here we come...

Happy Birthday

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to all the kids! Now that everyone is 1!!! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Emily's 1st Birthday

The year has gone by so fast! I can't believe all our babies are turning one already. Such a fun year.



Emily enjoyed her first birthday, playing with her balloons and bubbles, opening gifts, and showing off her walking skills to the family. I think her cake eating/playing was very "mild" to most 1st birthday experiences. Emily licked a little of the frosting (whipping cream), crumbled the cupcake with her hands a little, ate a bite or two and that was about it. I think she was a little shy since everyone was watching her so intently.



I hope everyone is having a great summer and fun time with their new "Toddler."

Keiani is One!

Keiani 1! Yeah! She had so much fun at her birthday poor girl was so tired after it was all said and done. She had a blast playing with Sydney and Emily though! You guys missed the Birthday cake it was so funny. She went face first and got it every where she was completely covered by the time we took her out of her seat.

We had her 12 month check up on Friday and she weighs 24lbs and is 31in tall. She is in the 85% for weight, 98% for height, and 85% for head size. She also got 4 shots, she was such a trooper adn hardly cried at all.

I cant belive how fast this year has gone makes me so sad that she is no longer a baby.

Birthdays already

Cant wait to see all of you at Keiani's 1st birthday party! Just a reminder its at 4pm at the Clubhouse were we live. Hope you can make it!

Hi everyone! Get your sunscreen out, it's supposed to be a nice day tomorrow!!! Yeah! (finally). I took my first trip to the Oregon Coast. I got to watch the waves crash on the beach, find sand dollars, climb stairs for the first time and even ride on a carousel! It was great fun.

9 months WOW!

Keiani had her 9 month check up on Friday and she is weighing 22lbs and is 30in long now. SHe finally went down on her percentile and is 98% for height, 95% weight and 83% for head size. She is able to do do 2 signs back to us (more and milk) but she seems to understand quite a bit more. She is also walking now. She gets in about 4-6 steps before she topples over but she tries relentlessly. She still only has the 2 teeth but her top teeth are trying really hard to come down. She is sooo curious adn her curiosity has forced us to put up yet another gate this time to keep her out of the garbage and Dharma (the cat's) room. Lets see what else is new. Oh she has also learned to take off her diapers which is endless fun!

So that is it for the Keiani so far. I'm sure there is much more to come. :)

The Ultimate Update (kinda)

Just wanted to check in and put up some pics! We always say, "we should put some pics up on the blog" and then......time goes on and we don't! So here's a little catch up!! 6 months!

Keiani had her 6 month check up and shots today. She is weighing in at 19lbs 10oz and 27.5 in long. She is our big , happy, healthy baby. She is crawling now and has 1 tooth! We are sooo proud! Aside from Keiani getting sick on Christmas we had a great holiday season and new years. We hope you all had the same and can't wait to see you all again!
